"..This LAPCO barrel system is the highest quality, most technologically advanced that money can buy. The barrel kit is made in the same manner as all LAPCO barrels. We begin with billet aluminum and gun-drill the bore, in order to get a straight and round hole. Then we turn-between-centers to make sure the bore is dead center in the barrel and machine the profile and threads. Finally we bar-hone the barrel parts in order to get the best finish, roundness and size in the industry. This is the best way to ensure accuracy, as there are no short cuts to insure smooth gas flow and minimal drag on the paintball. If the bore isn't in the center (typically the case with tubing) then the ball will enter the barrel and drag one of its sides causing a slight spin. The slight spin is never consistent and will turn into a significant accuracy challenge as soon as the ball starts to slow down. If the barrel isn't completely round (as is the case with tubing even if it has been polished on the inside) then the ball will drag unevenly down the barrel and the gas will create turbulence around the ball, both leading to inconsistent spin. This LAPCO barrel kit includes different diameter backs in order to get the optimum paint fit for the greatest accuracy, gas efficiency and self-cleaning properties. LAPCO kit also includes two different length tips so that you can adjust for the playing conditions, longer for speedball and long distance shooting, and shorter to keep you from getting stuck in the bush.
